The annual election of board members has been postponed from December 2019 because we did not have enough candidates and is scheduled for December 13, 2020. Ballots will be posted online and mailed to lot owners early fall 2020.
A GREAT BIG MAHALO: Mahalo to all who turned out for our last quarterly meeting on June 14th. Thank you for the 3 lot owners who donated $150 each to pay for cold patch for some very nasty areas on Road B between 8 and 4. Mahalo to one Mr. and Mrs. lot owner on Road 1 who pay $100 a month, above and beyond the $60 annual road maintenance fee to pay for material for the unpaved portion of Road 1.
Emergency funds were used to address the really bad areas of lettered roads damaged by the hurricane the last two years' subsequent hard rains. We are sadly lacking the tens of thousands dollars needed for road repairs. With over 72 miles of roads in our Acres, HARC can only apply road fees to the lettered roads. Click here to see where the dues for your lot or lots is applied. If everyone paid the $60 annual road fee, HARC would be able to coordinate material for the worst areas of numbered roads, too. $60 per year is only $5 a month. We need to have a real sense of community right now.
We wish to thank all the volunteers who have donated time and materials in working on the roads to make them more bearable. And thank you to our entire HARC board who have always been non paid volunteers. But we need more volunteers. Please volunteer. Call HARC at 808-313-0542. You can donate your time or materials, or both, or apply to be on the Board, or assist with office work, mailings, and communications. Thank you so very much.
